District Description

Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Schools is located in west-central Minnesota, situated between Willmar and Sauk Centre, serving students in Stearns, Pope and Kandiyohi counties. The three towns consist of roughly 1500 residents and the school district serves over 2200 households. BBE is home to many agricultural industry related employers. BBE operates two school buildings. Pre-kindergarten through grade six attend BBE Elementary School located in Brooten and student in grades seven through twelve attend BBE High School in Belgrade. Currently, BBE Schools has roughly 650 students enrolled.

BBE Schools has a fully implemented 1:1 device program for all students and families in grades Kindergarten through twelve. Additionally, BBE has recently partnered with the Bush Foundation to begin a personalized learning program. BBE offers a broad spectrum of programming for all students. Response to Intervention and Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports are fully implementing throughout the District. BBE has a track record of high academic performance. Faculty at BBE provide standards driven instruction delivered through multiple modalities.

BBE Schools is led by a seven person board of education and is in sound financial standing.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate must hold or be eligible for a Minnesota License as a Superintendent or demonstrate their ability to secure licensure by June 30, 2018. Previous experience as a superintendent is preferred but not required.

School Board Training

The school board in North Branch Area Public Schools has been pleased to work with Bruce Miles on school board development.
