In a prior post, I introduced the concept of talent development, and provided a worksheet that can be used to map out the specific growth of an individual employee.
Recently, I had the opportunity to help a law firm in Pennsylvania develop a strategic plan. A part of that plan included using the talent development worksheet to specifically hand off key tasks within the new plan. The firm has made dramatic progress on the key elements of their strategic plan by deciding who was responsible, and providing the guidelines for those individuals to take over a portion of the plan.
Inserting talent development into the strategic planning process can yield impressive results. Take the time to download this talent development worksheet and see what you can come up with. If you would like to talk more about talent development or strategic planning, please contact me. I’d love to help!

School Board Training
The school board in North Branch Area Public Schools has been pleased to work with Bruce Miles on school board development. Members of the school board found Bruce very knowledgeable in board communications, the role of board members and the relationship between the board and superintendent. Each session with Bruce is engaging and informative! Bruce provided the training the board needed.
